ST. BLAISE PARISH YOUTH MINISTRY BRINGS THE ROSARY TO GRADE 7 STUDENTS OF SBHS AS PART OF ROSARY MONTH
In celebration of the Month of the Holy Rosary, the St. Blaise Parish Youth Ministry (PYM) conducted a Rosary Apostolate for the Grade 7 students of St. Blaise High School on October 8, 2026.
The activity was organized as part of the parish youth ministry's continuing efforts to encourage young people to deepen their prayer life and strengthen their relationship with God through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
During the apostolate, the PYM distributed Holy Rosaries to the Grade 7 students, providing them with a tangible reminder of the importance of prayer and devotion. The students were encouraged to value the Rosary not merely as a religious object, but as a powerful instrument of prayer that can accompany them in their daily lives.
The Rosary is a prayer centered on the life, passion, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, prayed through the loving guidance of His Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary. Through every decade, the faithful are invited to reflect on the mysteries of Christ while asking Mary to lead them closer to her Son.
For the Grade 7 students, the apostolate served as an invitation to begin or strengthen their personal devotion to the Holy Rosary. The young students were encouraged to pray the Rosary with their families, classmates, friends, and fellow members of the Church, especially during the month dedicated to this beautiful Marian devotion.
The initiative also highlights the important role of young people in sharing and promoting the Catholic faith. By bringing the Rosary into the school community, the St. Blaise Parish Youth Ministry hopes to inspire students to become young witnesses of prayer and faith in their homes, schools, and communities.
More than simply distributing rosaries, the activity seeks to plant a seed of prayer in the hearts of the youth. In a world where young people face various challenges and distractions, the Rosary offers a moment of silence, reflection, and communion with God. It reminds them that they can always turn to prayer in moments of joy, difficulty, uncertainty, and thanksgiving.
The apostolate also reflects the parish continuing commitment to youth formation and evangelization, recognizing that young people have an important place in the life and mission of the Church. Through simple yet meaningful initiatives, the PYM seeks to accompany the youth in discovering their faith and responding to God's call to live as responsible and faithful Christians.
As the Church continues to observe the Month of the Holy Rosary, the St. Blaise Parish Youth Ministry encourages the Grade 7 students and the entire school community to make the Rosary part of their daily prayer routine.
May every rosary placed in the hands of the young students become a reminder to pray, reflect, and walk with Christ together with Mary.
Through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, may the young people of St. Blaise High School continue to grow in faith, hope, and love, becoming witnesses of Christ in their school, families, and communities.
“Pray the Rosary every day.”
